As our company continues to expand and our project portfolio broadens, we are looking to grow our team with a New Building Engineer to join our Head Office team and will contribute to the successful delivery of challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• review drawings and documents within the scheduled time as part of the plan approval process
• compile the plan comment forms (PCF) and manage subsequent correspondence
• confirm specification requirements are applied in the plan approval drawings and documents

Requirements:

• University degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office functions
• Excellent command of English language, oral and written

Candidate Profile Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design assessment and compliance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with shipyards, design firms, and classification societies.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify non-compliance or deviations.
• Team player with strong collaboration for coordinating with project stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication for issuing approvals, comments, and reports.
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in ship design, construction, operation or a related marine engineering field
• Familiarity with classification societies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO, IACS)
• Experience with plan approval processes, including structural design, stability, and systems engineering
