A Shipping Company operating oil/chemical tankers, is seeking candidates for the position of the General Manager.
Job Description:
- Report to the Managing Director.
- Overall responsibility for the company’s Safety Management System.
- Maintaining all company’s policies.
- Ensuring that all vessels operate safely, efficiently and cost effectively, complying with all relevant international and local regulations and charter party requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate all daily vessels’ operations within the departments
Qualifications:
- University graduate with at least 4 years experience in a similar role or in Managerial position in Operations, Vetting or Technical department. Captain’s or Chief’s engineer license or university graduate with technical background will be highly appreciated.
- Basic understanding of maritime law in Charter Parties, Sale and Purchase transactions and the placement of insurances of both Hull & Machinery and P&I.
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently.
