VISTA MARITIME & LOGISTICS an integrated maritime and logistics services provider based in Piraeus, is seeking a Junior Assistant Accountant with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join its Accounting Department.

Responsibilities:

• Entering financial documents, collections, disbursements, invoices, and journal entries into the system.
• Managing end-to-end accounting and financial activities, such as general ledger operations, fixed asset management, and vendor/client accounts.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and overseeing routine accounting tasks.
• Helping to organize and maintain accurate tax documentation and compliance files.
• Liaising with vendors, customers, and internal or external stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Carrying out clerical duties including document filing, data input, and correspondence management.
• Providing day-to-day support to the Accounting team, particularly in the areas of accounts payable and receivable.

Required Qualifications:

• BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in an accounting position preferred
• Advanced computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel and able to learn new software databases (i.e. ORIAN ERP).
• Strong Organizational skills, attention to detail, team spirit, customer service mentality, ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with finance regulations and Tax Legislation.
•  Previous experience in Liner Agency and / or Freight Forwarding (sea freight) will be considered as an advantage
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English language.
