Shipping Company is looking for a Shipping Accountant to join its Accounting Department. 

Key duties and responsibilities: 

Undertake day to day accounting tasks and regular accounting processes such as:

• Recording of invoices 
• Preparing daily payments 
• Analysis of accounting and other financial records to provide accounting information to the management
• Reconciliation of MGAs 
• Bank reconciliations
• Prepare cash flow reports and cash position to meet the business needs of the Company
• Daily communication with third parties (banks, customers, suppliers etc)
• Assist in the year end audit process

Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 4-5 years’ experience in a relevant position in the Shipping Industry.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA) will be considered an asset, but not required.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office and the English language.
• Knowledge of Danaos will be a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
