Pantheon Tankers is in search of a Legal Counsel, specializing in shipping law to join the legal team and support a diversified fleet of Tankers, Bulkers and LNG carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on matters related to shipping, maritime law, and international trade.
• Draft, review, and negotiate shipping contracts, M.O.A’s , shipbuilding contracts, financing (including leasing) and related agreements.
• Advise on regulatory compliance with international and domestic maritime laws.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities as required.
• Support corporate legal matters, including risk management, employment law, tax law and commercial contracts.
• Stay current on changes in shipping law and industry regulations to mitigate legal risks.
• Conduct internal training and legal awareness sessions for operational teams.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer registered at the Greek Bar.
• 8-10 years of post-qualification experience with a strong focus on shipping law.
• Prior in-house legal experience in a shipping company or in legal firm specializing in maritime law is a must.
• In-depth knowledge of international maritime conventions, shipping regulations, and trade law.
• Proven experience handling sale and purchase and financing transactions.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of a language other than English and Greek will be considered as a plus
