A ship brokerage services company is seeking for an experienced Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Greek books accounting and tax requirements

• Bookkeeping and accounts monitoring in compliance with local regulations (i.e. Tax Return, MYDATA, VAT, etc.)
• Cash management
• Overseeing maritime taxation, payroll and social security matters.
• Handling dividend declarations.

Maritime Accounting

• Maintain full cycle vessel accounting records: monitoring and recording vessel manager accounts, voyage accounting, preparing closing reports.
• Monitoring vessel accounts payables and receivables, including payments processing.
• Prepare of various accounting tasks reports as requested by Management.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in similar accounting position.
• Danaos accounting system and Microsoft Office.
• English proficiency.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and driven to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
