Blue Planet Shipping is looking to recruit an HSQE Superintendent

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor thecompany’s & vessels' compliance with SMS requirements, maritime regulations, and industry’s standards.
• Prepare vessels for external ISM / ISPS Audits & MLC inspection
• Preparing vessels for PSC & Flag inspections
• Follow up of findings, deficiencies ,  NCR’s rectification
• Conduct internal audits onboard, navigation and mooring audits
• Attend vessels for Rightship inspection preparation
• Identify training needs during attendances onboard
• Deliver on board  training sessions  related to SMS requirements, HSQE campaigns, audit findings and results of PSC & Flag inspections

Requirements:

• Deck Officer degree with seagoing experience or technical university degree
• 3+ years’ experience in an HSQE Department of a Bulk Carrier company
• Experience with Maritime Regulations and Rightship RISQ requirements
• Experience with PSC & Flag Inspections
• Experience with Rightship inspections with RisQ Questionnaire
• Flexible with travelling abroad for vessel attendance
• ISM/ISPS Internal Auditor Certification will be considered as an asset
• Qualified Trainer will be considered as an asset
• Computer literacy and experience in ERP platform
• Proficient in English
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
