Aegean Shipping Management S.A. is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Superintendent, to provide the optimal support and assistance to Technical Superintendent and Technical Manager.

The ideal candidate should cover the following requirements:

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and/or Technical Institution of higher education
• Well established previous office experience of 1-3 years
• Good working knowledge of tanker operation
• Good working knowledge of the English language
• Adequate PC skills, familiar with Danaos software (optional)
• Team spirit is considered a must

Responsibilities

• Provides support and assistance to seagoing personnel on the proper implementation of the SMS and PMS procedures, technical matters related to drawings or information retrieval from ship's plans and manuals
• Monitors daily mail correspondence and informs the Fleet Manager for matters that need his attention
• Files technical correspondence/ documentation, all fleet vessel's maintenance reports
• Monitors fleet certificates
• Monitors fleet requisitions ensuring that the correct data (specification/ quantities) are included
• Assists in the planning of shipyard repairs and the monitoring of equipment repairs
• Attends ships and DD repairs
• Prepares statistics and trend analysis within his area of responsibility
• Maintains the vessel's plans, drawings, particulars and instruction manuals ashore
