A well-established Shipping Company located in the Southern suburbs, is seeking to employ a Superintendent Engineer for its tankers fleet.
The scope of this position is to closely monitor Vessels’ overall performance & Maintenance standards, including machineries and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Continuous/regular communication with the Master and C/E to ensure optimum performance of equipment and machinery.
- Attendances onboard fleet vessels
- Preparation of dry-dock and repair specification, taking into account the defect/deficiency reports, PMS and new class/flag/SIRE 2.0 requirements
- Attendance during major repairs and Dry-docks
- Review, monitoring and follow-up of PMS and reports
- Provides troubleshooting and preventive maintenance guidance
Qualifications:
- Seagoing experience on oil tankers
- 1-3 years’ experience working in a similar position ashore (tanker vessels preferred)
- Knowledge of International rules and regulations, including Environmental regulations
- University degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in English
- Very good computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
