Alpha Bulkers, a ship management company specialising in the management and operation of 34 large dry cargo vessels, is looking to strengthen its HSQE/Marine/Vetting team by employing an additional Vetting Superintendent 

Role Description

The Vetting Superintendent will be responsible for the pre-vetting preparation (RiSQ 3.1) as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations related to vetting inspections, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining high safety standards for large bulk carriers

Qualifications

• Previous sea going experience as Master Mariner
• Postgraduate studies will be an asset
• 3-4 years of experience ashore in similar position in HSQE/Marine/Vetting departments
• Experience in conducting RiSQ 3.1 vetting inspections for bulk carriers
• Ability to travel for vetting/PSC preparation
• Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards (AMSA, RiSQ 3.1, PSC)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
