Job Summary

Worthington Bulk SA an operating/management company is looking for a sharp, motivated professional who is seeking to continue their career in a fast-paced environment full of challenging opportunities. As one of our Accounts Officers, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of financial transactions and actively collaborating with the rest of the company team Accounts, operations, chartering etc. to ensure smooth financial process throughout the company. 

Job Description 

  • Report to CFO 
  • Process and analyze invoices for accuracy. 
  • Reconcile transactions with bank statements. 
  • Prepare remittances and process payments. 
  • Assist Accounts team, ensuring the timely completion of daily and periodical financial tasks and projects (quarterly Management Accounts, Preparation of yearly financial accounts etc.)
  • Cooperate with colleagues following the flow of operations and the financial implications

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance or closely related field  
  • 3 or more years previous experience in Accounting or Finance, exclusively in a ship management company 
  • Extensive experience with modern ship management Enterprise Resource Programs (ERPs) like PAL, Jibe, etc. 
  • Excellent computer literacy (including Microsoft Excel) 
  • Experience with data analytics preferred. 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Greek 
  • Understanding of voyage operation procedure will be a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills; thorough and methodical 
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills 
  • Independent, self-motivated, resourceful, and result-oriented 
  • Strong analytical acumen and being comfortable multi-tasking while adhering to agreed deadlines.
