Position Profile and Requirements
PRIMARY AIM
Follow up of energy performance strategy consisting of objectives, targets, measures, tools etc.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support in developing and maintaining up-to-date energy saving measures and emission reduction for fleet
- Support development and maintenance of up-to-date energy performance monitoring including (K)PIs, Python Scripts, Software Tools, dashboards, views/filters, targets etc.
- Coordinate and assist in data collection, validation, verification and submission of IMO DCS, EU/UK MRV, EU ETS, and other emissions regulatory directives in annual and in ad-hoc timeframe
- Coordinate and follow up with the vessels and involved departments in daily level to sustain the data quality reported from vessels focusing on consumptions, GHG emissions and other relative regulatory directives
- Follow up of Main Consumers Performance systems in cooperation with the technical team and keep informed the involved departments
- Keep abreast of any regulations, technology, or other developments shipping in relation to energy efficiency by interacting with shipping industry parties
- Disseminate energy efficiency related knowledge within the company and best practices within Technical Department, Marine etc.
- Develop and follow up of SEEMP measures in cooperation with respective personnel (shore and sea) via an augmented set of (K)PIs, Internal Software Tools, Dashboards, Scripts
- Assist in evaluating and proposing in business case for energy projects (retrofits, new buildings) & decarbonization pathways together with other teams (Technical Department) within the company
- Monitor energy related operational performance by reviewing KPI statistics, software tools, dashboards, deviation statistics and reports
PROFILE
Formal education: Bachelor’s Degree (A Master’s Degree will be considered a plus) in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering (or in case of Mechanical Engineering proven experience and familiarization of oceangoing ships and relevant systems
Experience: 1 Year experience in Shipping Industry especially related to Ships’ Energy and Environmental
Performance will be considered as a plus
Practical knowledge of software packages: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), Python, SQL, Matlab, GitLab, Autocad or Autodesk (Relevant Certificates will be considered a plus)
Other qualifications: Adaptability, flexibility, teamwork, high performance orientation, excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and build strong relationships with people at all levels
Languages: Fluent English, other European language is an asset
