Primary aim

To provide support for the daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions. To assist the Accounting team with their daily duties.

Roles and Responsibilities

• To make various postings into the system with supervision by the Sr. Accountant
• To maintain proper filing as requested
• To follow up the electronic department mail
• To attend assigned tasks and/or projects, as required

Other roles/authorities

• To replace other Accountants during their absence

Profile

Formal education: University degree in Accounting or Economics, Master degree is an asset

Experience: At least 6 months of experience in Accounting. Experience in a Shipping company is a plus

Knowledge Areas: Knowledge of maritime chart of accounts is preferable, good understanding of Accounting

Other qualifications: Organizational skills, attention to details, thoroughness and accuracy, analytical thinking, excellent PC skills, communication skills, proficient user of MS Office

Languages: Fluent English, other European language is an asset
