Well established Company in the southern suburbs, managing a fleet of LPGs and Tankers, is seeking to recruit a “ Purchasing operator”.

The candidate should be responsible for overseeing the entire order lifecycle, from initiation to follow up, ensuring smooth delivery onboard company’s vessels of  lubricants, Spare Parts, Deck/Engine Stores, Paints, Chemicals etc. The ideal candidate should be able to compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing, follow up the forwarding of orders by advising Agents/ Master accordingly and verify completion of delivery and collect relevant supporting documentation.

Qualifications: University Degree in Shipping, experience in the shipping industry, strong organizational skills, knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation, excellent verbal and written English.
