Chief Accountant

Hellenic Environmental Center, Group of companies, is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Chief Accountant.

The ideal candidate should cover the following requirements:

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting/Finance
• 5–8 years’ experience in same position
• Knowledge of all bookkeeping procedures
• Knowledge of the Greek TAX Legislation
• Knowledge of IFRS/GREEK GAAP Team spirit and high sense of responsibility
• Familiar with payroll and HR matters
• Knowledge of Singular ERP Galaxy will be considered an asset
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Computer literacy with Advanced MS Office skills
• Communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 5-8 accountants
• Review of the journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Controlling of all tax and social security obligations
• Review of the monthly reconciliations (bank’s balances & cash, expenses)
• Cooperation with group’s external auditors for the year end closing
• Review of the monthly payroll
• Communication with vendors/third parties Monitoring of tax obligations (Mydata)
• Support month-end and year –end close process
• Manage ad hoc financial reports if necessary
