Dorian LPG Management Corp. managing 21 LPG vessels, seeks an experienced Assistant Superintendent Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for support in the maintenance, repair and safe operation of the fleet.

General Responsibilities – Assist in preparing repair specifications, support repairs of vessels, and coordinate service personnel, and contractors.

Monitor vessel certifications and coordinate inspections. Regularly attend vessels in operation and during times of out of service or while dry-docking.

Follow up Work Orders, review and close outstanding maintenance jobs, review/approve requisitions and review vessel and service reports.

Develop maintenance and repair cost analysis sheets and monitor the budget. Assist in the development and modification of preventative maintenance plans for vessel equipment.

Ensure the engineering procedures and policies are periodically reviewed, modified, and properly implemented.

Experience – 5 or more years’ experience in Marine Engineering. Sailing experience, onboard vessel (s), preferred especially if same in Tankers and/or Gas carriers.

Competence – Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Prioritizing, organizing and performing multiple work assignments. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness

and develop change or alternatives. Preparation & monitoring of budget, as well as performing financial analysis. Ability to work closely with colleagues and teams.

Education - Recognized University undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering .

Recognized post-graduate University education preferred and an advantage.

Technical proficiency – Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook and Word, PMS systems, and generally good familiarity with computer generated maintenance, purchasing and performance monitoring software applications and processes.

Excellent verbal and written English are essential as well as a safety-first mentality and a focus on continuous improvement .
