An established Bulk Carrier ship management company located in Athens, is seeking to employ a Technical Superintendent.

The Superintendent will be responsible for the safe, efficient and environment conscious operation of the vessels assigned.

This includes compliance with statutory and industry recommended rules and regulations.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

• Effective implementation of the relevant part of the Company’s Safety Management System
• Effective planning and follow-up of vessels’ maintenance and repairs
• Preparation and follow-up of vessels’ annual OPEX budget
• Approving vessel requisitions, purchase orders and related suppliers’ invoices.
• Monitoring vessels' PMS and Defect Reports.
• Preparation of specifications and attendance of dry-docking repairs.
• Attendance for vetting and Rightship inspections as required.

Qualifications

• Chief Engineer license or University degree in Naval Architect / Marine Engineering
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as Superintendent Engineer at ship owning or ship management company
• Good command of oral and written English.
• Flexibility for frequent travel is required.
